Gully Boy featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin is an underdog story loosely inspired by the life of Mumbai-based rapper Divine and street rapper Naezy, who have made their mark with exceptional and socially relevant music. The supporting cast includes Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz, Amruta Subhash, Vijay Verma.
The first nine films chosen for the Competition and Berlinale Special sections have been announced today by the festival. Three filmmakers have been announced for the Special Galas – Heinrich Breloer, Zoya Akhtar and Charles Ferguson and six filmmakers – François ozon, Marie Kreutzer, Denis Côté, Fatih Akin, Angela Schanelec, and Emin Alper in the Competition section.
The premiere will probably be just before its Indian release. The festival runs from 7 – 17 February 2019, and earlier this year, producers Excel Entertainment announced a release date for Valentine’s Day on 14 February, 2019.
