HBO has announced the beginning of the end… For The Throne. The biggest series for HBO ever, Game of Thrones‘ Final Season, Season 8 will premiere in April 2019. In India, Game of Thrones Season 8 will be available on Hotstar.
This keeps it in the running for the 2019 Emmys, staying well before the cutoff date for Emmy nominations. The eligibility for the 2019 Emmys is an air date of June 1, 2018 – May 31, 2019. The show was famously forced to skip the 2017 as Season 7 only premiered in July 2017, even though it won Best Drama for it in 2018.
Season 8 will consist of six episodes, though each would reportedly be feature-length or close to it in runtime.
The teaser trailer features footage only from the previous seasons recapping the battles that preceded to the only battle that counts for the throne of the fictional kingdom of Westeros. So you may like us be asking, where is the trailer? Well, HBO might be thinking, made you look. LOL.
