The Gold-Laden Sheep & the Sacred Mountain has released its official trailer. The film will have its World Premiere In-Competition in the India Gold section at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star (October 25-November 1) and at the Dharamshala International Film Festival (November 1-4).
Ridham Janve’s graduated from the National institute of Design in Ahmedabad in 2011. His feature film debut is inspired by true events, capturing the story of a shepherd’s search for a lost plane and its pilot after they crash in the mystic mountains of Dhauladhar, Himachal Pradesh, India. Based on the Gaddi community and in their local dialect, the mystery and folklore infused film features non-actors from the community, with Arjun Pant and Lokendra Gurung in lead roles.
It is co-written and co-produced by Akshay Singh, a National Film and Television School graduate from the UK. Veteran filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is a co-producer on the film.
