The Toronto International Film Festival came to a close today. The People’s Choice Awards are usually looked forward to at what is often known as the people’s festival.
The TIFF 2018 Grolsch People’s Choice Awards winners are as follows:
WINNER: GREEN BOOK by Peter Farrelly
Featuring Academy Award nominee Viggo Mortensen and Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali.
2nd Prize: IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK by Barry Jenkins
Featuring Kiki Layne, Stephan James, Teyonah Parris, Regina King, Brian Tyree Henry, Colman Domingo, Dave Franco.
3rd Prize: ROMA by Alfonso Cuaron
Based on the director’s memories, this found the director back in his home country to make a movie for the first time since cult movie “Y Tu Mamá También.”
