The trailer doesn’t give us much but does show a protagonist in Taapsee Pannu who was in a wheelchair, and not, a home invasion, and one coping with past trauma. Timelines are blurred as the trailer shifts to the chilling tales of a killer on the loose, who targets young women. Along with all of that, the trailer ends with scenes in the dark with an armed killer approaching Taapsee, who’s fallen off her wheelchair.
Taapsee Pannu made her debut and finding recognition in Telugu cinema is what led her to break into Hindi cinema successfully. She was seen in the Telugu film Neevevaro last year.
Ashwin Saravanan has previously written and directed the Nayanthara-starrer horror film Maya (2015). Game Over is produced by S.Sashikanth with Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainment presenting the Tamil – Telugu version. It is slated to release worldwide on 14 June 2019 alongside a Hindi dubbed version, presented by Anurag Kashyap.
