THE SWEET REQUIEM gets a great first review at Toronto Film Festival.

The film by Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam and produced by Shrihari Sathe has just had its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival 2018 in the ‘Contemporary World Cinema’ Section.
And it has a great first review by The Hollywood Reporter headlined by “Intensely personal and emphatically universal filmmaking.”
The low budget film featuring non-professional actors is the story of a young Tibetan woman grappling with living in exile, revealing a rarely seen side of the refugee crisis.

The film is a follow-up to 2005’s Dreaming Lhasa by the co-directors, which also premiered at TIFF.  Their most recent documentary, When Hari Got Married (2012), narrates the story of a small-town taxi driver who has an arranged marriage with a woman he’s never met. And it is available for streaming on Netflix.

The duo are also the founders of the Dharamshala International Film Festival.
