And now it has managed to get a nomination for Best British Short Film at the 2019 EE BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards. The five films nominated in the category are –

The synopsis of the 19 minute films reads as –
A poor agricultural labourer leads a double life in the village’s last remaining cornfield. But the harvest is approaching.But what the film does is covering a rare territory – the emotions of an Indian female farm worker who is having an affair.

Sandhya Suri is a British-Indian writer/director based in London. A graduate studied documentary filmmaking at The National Film and Television School, UK. Her feature documentary I for India premiered in the World Competition section of the Sundance Film Festival. Suri currently teaches on the M.A. in Cinematic Non-Fiction at University College London (UCL), London.
It features Mia Maelzer in the protagonist’s role, who graduated from National School of Drama, New Delhi.
The ceremony for the BAFTA Awards will take place on 10 February 2019 at the Royal Albert Hall.
