The second trailer of Sonchiriya is here and it is all about the rebels and dacoits, a wedding heist, caste allegiances, gunfights and punchy one liners. It introduces us the rebels of Chambal Valley – Lakhan (Sushant Singh Rajput), Man Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), Vakil Singh (Ranvir Shorey), Indumati (Bhumi Pednekar), and the police officer chasing them, Gujjar (Ashutosh Rana).
The dacoit drama is set in the Chambal in Madhya Pradesh against the backdrop of the Emergency in 1975-77, when the government has ordered a crackdown.
A MacGuffin Pictures Production, produced by Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Films, the film has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey of Udta Punjab fame, and written by Abhishek Chaubey & Sudip Sharma. The film is set to hit the theatres on March 1. Watch the first trailer here and the teaser here.
