Oh my goddess! is back again. Natalie Portman mesmerizes in the Vox Lux trailer as a pop star.

The first official trailer for Brady Corbet’s Vox Lux is here. And Natalie Portman’s spectacular transformation into a pop star will mesmerize even those not as obsessed with her as me.

The official synopsis reads as “Vox Lux begins in 1999 when teenage sisters Celeste (Raffey Cassidy) and Eleanor (Stacy Martin) survive a seismic, violent tragedy. The sisters compose and perform a song about their experience, making something lovely and cathartic out of catastrophe — while also catapulting Celeste to stardom. By 2017, the now 31-year-old Celeste (Natalie Portman) is mother to a teenage daughter of her own and struggling to navigate a career fraught with scandals when another act of terrifying violence demands her attention.”

The actress doesn’t appear in the film until the second half of the film. Raffey Cassidy, known for Tomorrowland and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, plays the teenage Celeste in the first half and 31 year old Celeste’s daughter in 2017, having a double role. The supporting cast includes Stacy Martin and Jude Law.

The film by actor-turned-filmmaker Brady Corbet (The Childhood of a Leader), had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival 2018. Neon will release Vox Lux in theaters in December 7. Let’s see when it makes it to India.
