Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu are back on screen together with the film Badla. The two starred together last in Pink, which brought Pannu to the forefront in Hindi cinema for her incredible performance. And he’s fighting for her in court again, only this time she is a cheating wife accused of the murder of her boyfriend. But is she framed or is she lying? Watch the trailer here.
Sujoy Ghosh’s Badla is an official remake of the 2017 Spanish thriller film Contratiempo | The Invisible Guest written and directed by by Oriol Paulo, whose synopsis reads as,
“While the clock is ticking, with the aid of a witness preparation expert, a successful entrepreneur accused of murder has less than three hours to come up with an impregnable defence.” The director best known for his Kahaani films, worked with Mr. Bachchan for his 2009 film Aladin, and produced another Te3n.

The film also stars Malayalam film actor Tony Luke, Manav Kaul (Tumhari Sulu), Antonio Aakeel (The Hungry), and flavor of the year Sara Ali Khan’s mother and powerhouse performer, Amrita Singh. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment along with Azure Entertainment, the film is releasing on March 15, 2019.
