AFI Fest 2018 World Cinema lineup out. Seven Foreign Film Oscar® contenders and one Indian film in!

The World Cinema lineup for AFI Fest and this Indian film is in along with 7 Foreign Film Oscar® contenders.

The AFI Fest is one the premier international film festivals. And the World Cinema section of AFI FEST usually showcases the most celebrated international films of the year. The AFI FEST 2018 presented by Audi will feature 28 titles from 27 countries. The section includes seven official Best Foreign Language Film Oscar® submissions:

And then there is one from India. BULBUL CAN SING by Rima Das has made the cut. Her previous film, Village Rockstars was her breakout film, and premiered at  Toronto International Film Festival 2017. And it won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.
Her new film is a visceral coming-of-age drama about a young girl living in rural India, fighting her way through love and loss as she figures out who she really is. And the one-woman army has written, designed, edited, produced and directed this film.
