Amazon Prime India is here with it’s next original, Made In Heaven, proving two things. One, it is really on a mission to get the urban Indian subscriber, and two, Excel Entertainment is its preferred partner.
Made In Heaven, produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby, has been created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar.
The series follows two wedding planners Tara and Karan, owners of Made In Heaven, who create fairytale weddings for the crazy rich Indians to celebrate the love between a couple. But they are really just selling dreams they can’t buy… as a suspicious married woman who can’t get pregnant and a possibly secretly gay man who can’t get married. Question is, can anyone really have a marriage made in heaven? Watch the trailer to find out.
Featuring Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur in pivotal roles, the supporting cast includes Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, and Shivani Raghuvanshi. And the directing team is a very interesting mix of Nitya Mehra (three eps.), Zoya Akhtar (two eps.), Alankrita Shrivastava (two eps.) and Prashant Nair (two eps.). The nine episodes series will start streaming on Amazon Prime from March 8.
