How much can a British person love The Beatles? Writer Richard Curtis proves never enough. Yesterday follows ordinary guy Jack Malik (Himesh Patel of EastEnders) who after an accident ends up in a world where no one remembers the music of the Beatles except for him. And since the songs are the greatest, they make him a superstar.

Written by Richard Curtis, of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Love Actually fame, the musical comedy film is directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire.
The cast also features Kate McKinnon as his agent, the legend Ed Sheeran as himself, and Lily James, in her trademark British girl next door avatar.

For the ones who don’t know The Beatles well, the band is the biggest thing that happened to music and included John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison.

Yesterday releases this summer, on June 28.
