Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films have released the trailer of their upcoming film Kaamyaab today, on 18 February 2020.
Kaamyaab, which means successful, tells us the story of the superstar sidekick Sudheer, an ordinary man who has been in 499 films and is looking for the perfect 500th role with a big banner film to create his record. The character actor has been in every relevant 80s and 90s films and is even known for a famous dialogue in a film. But will he find his dream 500th role to showcase the extraordinary in him? Sanjay Mishra plays the role of Sudheer and Deepak Dobriyal of the casting director who wants to make his dream come true. Watch the trailer here.
Kaamyaab is written and directed by Hardik Mehta, who won the National Film Award for his internationally lauded 2015 Gujarati documentary film Amdavad Ma Famous about Uttarayan, the kite flying festival. Mehta makes his fiction feature film debut with this film.
Kaamyaab premiered at the Busan Film Festival in 2018 and has found its day in theatres courtesy the support of Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. The release has been set for just before another Hardik Mehta film, Roohi Afzana starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma. The film that tells the story of a ghost that abducts brides on their honeymoons has been announced to release on 5 June 2020.
Presented by Red Chillies Entertainment and produced by Drishyam Films, Kaamyaab is set to release on 6 March 2020. And if the trailer is to go by, you need to add it to your watchlist.
