Times.. they are a changing. Tanushree Dutta has potentially started the first real #MeToo Movement in India. In the last few weeks, as strong stands have begun to be taken regarding sexual harassment and abuse of power in India, the latest to suffer consequences include AIB and Rajat Kapoor.

Mumbai Film Festival has just announced that it has removed two films from its 2018 Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star lineup. These are Chintu Ka Birthday by All India Bak***d (AIB) and Kadakh by Rajat Kapoor.

Three hours ago, Hotstar announced that it is “cancelling the production of On Air with AIB Season 3 with immediate effect” too.

Hotstar’s Twitter Statement

AIB is the comedy collective who found national fame after a roast gone wrong. Yesterday, it also announced two of its four co-founders, Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba, would be stepping down until further notice. Tanmay Bhat’s role and inaction has been questioned in alleged cases of sexual misconduct by colleague Utsav Chakraborty. Gursimran Khamba has been accused of sexual harassment incident in 2015 and 2016 by a woman who wished to remain anonymous, wherein he made unwelcome advances and later, emotionally blackmailed and emotionally abused for almost five months. Khamba has vociferously denied violation of consent in his Instagram response.

Rajat Kapoor has been accused of harassing three women so far. He has apologized. Take a look at the tweets below.

I don’t even know any more.

All my life I have tried to be a decent man, to do the right thing.
If however, I have slipped and through my actions or words
caused pain or hurt or trauma to absolutely anybody, please accept my
apology.
