Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of Season 1 of The Family Man, its next India Prime Original on 5 September 2019.The Family Man is a comedy spy thriller series about an undercover agent. Manoj Bajpayee plays senior analyst Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class guy, who works for a special cell of the National Investigation Agency. While he tries to protect the nation from terror threats, his family is unaware of his secretive, high-pressure, and low paying job. But the dangers of that lie more in the dissatisfaction of a family unaware of his work, who believe he is just incompetent at life than at his actual job. Watch the trailer.
The Family Man has been created, directed & produced by Raj & DK, who wrote the film Stree. Their previous films as writer-director include Shor In The City, Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending and A Gentleman.
The ensemble cast also includes Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Neeraj Madhav, Sharad Kelkar, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Hinduja, Abrar Qazi, Shahab Ali, Kishore Kumar, Gul Panag, Dalip Tahil, Sundeep Kishan, and Darshan Kumaar.The Family Man will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 20 September 2019, one week before Netflix’s spy thriller series Bard of Blood featuring Emraan Hashmi, releasing on 27 September 2019.
