March has been a great month of releases, both in cinemas and on streaming platforms. If you are interested in Indian content, or content about India or Indians, these are the ten releases you would want to stream right now. 
1. Uri by Aditya Dhar 
Where – Zee5
Vicky Kaushal’s film that has det a record week after week at the box office is now streaming on Zee5 even though it’s still in theatres. No one expected this though.

2. Zubaan by Mozez Singh
Where – Netflix
Vicky Kaushal’s first film as the lead, it released in 2016. A a coming of age story of a young man fears following his talent in music and has big worldly ambition based of a small encounter with a man who made it. The film has one of the best music albums.

3. Made in Heaven by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar
Where – Amazon Prime 
You must have already heard of it, the series has caught the urban audience by storm. Loved by critics and audiences, the series follows two wedding planners Tara and Karan, owners of Made In Heaven, who create fairytale weddings for the crazy rich Indians to celebrate the love between a couple. But they are really just selling dreams they can’t buy? Find out more about the series here.
4. Delhi Crime by Richie Mehta
Where – Netflix
The fictionalized series is based on the case files of the Delhi Police, of the 2012 Nirbhaya rape case. It follows DCP Vartika Chaturvedi (Shefali Shah), the investigating officer, to find the perpetrators of the crime. Find out more about the series here
5. Puzzle by Marc Turtletaub
Where – iTunes
Love Irrfan Khan? The most recent film released of the actor who’s been sick the past year, featuring Kelly MacDonald & Irrfan Khan, is the story of Agnes, who reached her early 40s without ever venturing far from home, family or the tiny community. That begins to change in a quietly dramatic fashion when Agnes receives a jigsaw puzzle as a birthday gift.
6. Bohemian Rhapsody by Bryan Singer
Where – iTunes, Google Play, and Youtube
The controversial Academy Award winning biopic on Queen, their music and lead singer Freddie Mercury. What a lot of people still don’t know is that Freddie Mercury was an Indian origin Parsi man who emigrated to the UK, Farrokh Bulsara.
7. Star Bestsellers by Various
Where – Hotstar
The classic twenty one episode anthology by Star Plus in its heydays led to the beginnings of many a great filmmaker, including Anurag Kashyap, Sriram Raghavan, Imtiaz Ali, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and actors like Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan. This is a gem worth the watch.
8. Life Sahi Hai by Tarun Jain
Where – Zee5
While Season 2 was officially released on Zee 5, Season 1 of the show has been released on Zee5 only recently. The 2016 show by the Pyaar Ka Punchnama co-writer has the now famous Siddhant Chaturvedi from the Ranveer Singh starrer film, Gully Boy. He plays one of the four lead characters in a story of boys who’ve moved to Delhi with the intention to live independently for the first time.

9. Simmba by Rohit Shetty
Where –  Zee5
While we are talking about Zee5 and Ranveer Singh, if you are a fan of him, girl of the moment Sara Ali Khan, and Shetty action, then go ahead. It is the story of Simmba, who enjoys all the perks of being an immoral and unethical Police Officer, a twist in the tale transforms him and forces him to choose the righteous path.

10. Manikarnika by Krish and Kangana Ranaut
Where – Amazon Prime
The far removed from the truth account of the life and valour of Jhansi Ki Rani Laxmibai, who died defending her kingdom at the age of 29, has released too. Apart from all the controversy surrounding Kangana Ranaut, just imagine a 13 year old playing the Laxmibai who was married off to a then 45 year old husband Maharaja Gangadhar Rao, and this could have been an entirely different narrative to share, with her valour. For the curious, you know where to watch.
